The colors are more vivid. It's a great system and downloading games for it from sony is pretty easy. The games made for it look awesome.

Sorry, But they won't. The latest update to the PS3 firmware corrected the problems with "artifacts" in a lot of ps2 games so playing them now look just the same as if you were playing them on a ps2.
BTW The ps3 Is one of the first devices to sport HDMI 1.3 The $1000 Blu-ray players that are out don't even have 1.3.....So when the new HDTV's start rolling out with 1.3 Be ready for some AWESOME MOVIE'S!!!

they'll look the same as they do on a PS2 as they weren't written for PS3.
