Same reasons people ask pointless questions that are not going to really tell the asker anything. Attention, boredom, or something else.

I posted a similar question and asked "why do most people come up with the answer I don't know" Nearly all the answers were, I don't know. To make matters worse my question was deleted as it was considered spam. But in answer to your question there are a lot of kids on here, big ones and little ones who are all out just to get the two points and others think it funny to wind people up.
Don't let it bother you because the majority of them won't have a good % of of best answers

well in regards to questions which demand proper and respectful answers, people give stupid answers because of the two points, rather than helping the person or by giving them the answer they want. best not to dwell on this and give them the thumbs down and move onto the next question

People have many reasons 2 give silly answers 2 questions.
Some questions are 2 silly 2 be given a straight answer

Because some of the questions are aimed at getting stupid answers! I only do it if the question isn't too serious, if it's a serious question, I only answer if I've got something sensible to say.

you should see some of the answers I'm getting when I asked a question aimed at a specific group. might be fun for some but annoying to me

My job sucks so I come on here for amusement and stress relief. Sometimes the questions seem to me like they are just asking for a retarded answer to be given.
