How can I promote my homemade website for free?

I made a geocities page to advertise my idea to get people referrals for a new iPod. Thats besides the point, how do I get people to see it so that they will join it? Im not looking to convince people, just trying to get people to see it. Oh yeah, I'm also not willing to spend money. I was thinking message boards and stuff but I dont have any accounts and just posting it wont actually get people to look at it. Have any ideas? Oh yeah and check it out if you want, http://www.geocities.com/soccer9691/ipod_nano_conga_line.html , once the site gets rolling, you can get an ipod with little effort, what have you got to lose?

There is a way to advertise free online. There are very popular websites that allow you to advertise on them completely free.

1. Those things are mostly scams.
2. In order for people to go to your site, there has to actually be something on your site worth seeing. Content, etcetc. You have to offer the person visiting your site something.
3. Having a geocities account is a huge deterrent to people visiting your website. Only people like.... yourself would bother looking at/using one of those. In order to get publicity having your own domain name is a must, but I highly doubt you would be capable of such an astounding feat, seeing as you are trying to milk the world for all it is worth. (free ipod, domain name, etc)

In short I think I you should give up, learn how to use computers effectively, get a job, and buy your own iPod. The chances are much better for you to do that instead of doing this internet crap.
