Oh, honey, do not hassle a lot about it! i'm hoping i will reassure you a touch. they gained't do a pap smear for 2 motives. One: you're on your era and the cervix must be freed from blood to substantiate that them to scape it and convey jointly some cells off it. And 2: A pap is in hardship-free words finished to demonstrate screen for cervical maximum cancers. A heavy era is a hormone difficulty affecting ovulation or now and again it really is from endometriosis, it truly is an outgrown of the uterine lining to different aspects except the uterus. So, the following is what's going to maximum probably take position. I went by skill of a similar element, I had terrible, very painful and lengthy classes. The Gynecologist will probable positioned you on the pill so your classes will grow to be normalized. it is going to regulate you and also relax the quantity you bleed. And it will make your classes shorter, too. A pap isn't mandatory on account that that is a hormone difficulty. She ought to have you ever lie down and she or he'll press on proper of your decrease abdomen, feeling for something unusual yet it truly is all. you also decide on to understand if the birth control pill is the in hardship-free words thanks to resign heavy classes? No. At 35, i ultimately confident a well being care specialist i did not decide on any better youngsters so she did a uterine ablation, meaning the record lazered out the liner of my uterus. That stopped the heavy bleeding for numerous years. they gained't even evaluate it at your age because once finished, you may not have little ones. in spite of in case you tell them you do not decide on youngsters, they nonetheless gained't do it till you're older. So, flow with the pill. it really is possibility-free at your age, extremely in case you do not smoke. So, relax. The visit is actual not undesirable in any respect, ok? Take care, sweetie.

You'll be fine. I had this happen to me at my last exam and they told me it would be alright. (By the way, my pap smear did came back normal.) The only problem was, I wore a tampon and that made putting the speculum in harder. So if you decide to go, wear a pad. If it bothers you to be bleeding during this time, then just reschedule. Remember though, if it is a doctor that delivers babies, they have seen it all. Good luck!

You don't have to reschedule. Ive started my period while at my OBGYN's office in the bathroom doing a urine sample! (I was breastfeeding and my period had yet to return, so I had no clue it was going to just start). If its just a normal exam they can still do it, just let your Dr know you're on your period.
They're Dr's, do you REALLY think a period is going to disgust them?! lmao!!! Get real people! They dig in vaginas for a living!!!!

By all means, reschedule unless you have problems with your cycle. If that is the case there are times when it is necessary to be examined anyway. If it is just your yearly checkup and you've had no problems then you need to reschedule.

umm reschedule!, if you were your doctor would you appreciate that?
I think my Dr. had one too many of those cases. The receptionist there always asks when was your last period before she sets up the exam.

I've always called and let them know, if I am having a normal yearly pap...they usually tell me to reschedule. If it is for something more serious, I would show up.
