when he got off the couch, his face hit the floor because BOTH his legs gave out. he is walking funny (when he does walk), with his midsection arched and he keeps falling) but he doesnt react in pain when we touch him or move him. he wont eat and i had to give him water in a medicine syringe. he went outside last night and showed up on our prch like this this morning. i cant find any wounds. he just keeps staring, like i said. really weird. i cant get to the vet until much later because my car died this morning and i dont have a way to get him there. im really worried and i cant seem to find anything online that describes his condition. i dont know if he just sparined his legs. but he isnt making any sort of noise of pain. im just so worried about him. um, if anyone knows anything, please give me some information, it would help. thank you!!

You need to get to the vet asap. If he was outside, then there is a good chance he was hit by a car, even if you dont see any wounds on the outside. They could be broken, disocated or he could have nerve damage.

***Do NOT give him asprin (or any other pain med) as it thins the blood, if he was hit by a car then there is risk he has internal bleeding. ****

I am so sorry for your kids. That is so unfortunate. Perhaps there is a way of putting the poor little thing down comfortably without spending 100's of dollars. Try calling the pharmacy at your local store and ask them what they would recommend. Sometimes they can help you more than anybody else because they really don't have a personal gain in it. You could actually tell them of your situation and let them know that the vet said it had to be put down, they may suggest something to give it to make it comfortable. I wish I could offer a suggestion on how to save the poor little thing but it sounds kind of grim. I hope everything will go ok for you and the kids. Again, really sorry for you all.

Take him to the vet ASAP. If you have to, get someone to drive you. There could be a number of things wrong - he could have eaten something he shouldn't have, he could have something neurological going on, or any other number of things. Also, cats cannot go very long without eating (I would not say more than 24 hours or so), or they will start going into liver failure. That is also very serious and very expensive to cure (I am still paying off a $1k vet bill from this summer due to my cat getting sick and going into liver failure).

If you love him, get him to the vet.

my cat acted like that all of a sudden when he had tumors......where you said he was out all night and came home like that is possible he has some type of internal injuries. See if you can find someone to give you a ride to bring him to the vet. Cats are very secretive when they don't feel good or are injured so when its very visible like what you are describing it usually very serious. Good luck!!

Contact your Vet Imediately!
Your cat may have suffered a number of different internal injuries, including but not limited to head trauma or internal bleeding that will manifest themselves later

Sorry about your cat not feeling well.
Do you have in your area a vet that does house calls? it will solve your transport problem, plus, you'll save your cat any possible discomfort.
A vet needs to see him straight away.
Hope it's nothing serious.
