no not at all, listen to me colleges prefer you take a challenge in highschool to prove that your ready for college, unlike you im only taking 3 AP classes and one pre-ap and im a junior but only 2 AP are required subjects the other is AP Ceramics, but its good that ur taking all those AP see im not going to take any more math next year cos me and math dont go together. but yea looks to me ur good at math! keep up the good work, good to know we have dedicated juniors out there! and yes the higher ur GPA the BETTER!!!!!!!! colleges will want you, and even better if ur top 10% in ur class on the ranks then thats very good to! and hey if your here in dallas then you get 100 for passing the AP exam on ENGLISH and math(i think) but you get 100$!!! WELL GOOD LUCK TO YOU
and
God Bless You!!

You should only be taking AP from the courses you enjoy. For example: in 10th grade I took AP Spanish Language and I got an A with a 4 on the AP exam, I really enjoyed it, although I was a little nervous because it was my very first AP class/exam. Now that I'm in 11th grade I'm taking AP Spanish Literature but I hate it. It's my least favorite class out of the 8 classes this year. I have an A in the class but I did horrible in the midterm (which was an AP exam last year and the teacher somehow gave me a B) and I got a 45%, the 2nd lowest score. Why??? Because I don't like literature. I was also recommended for AP English Language and AP U.S. History but I chose not to take them because I don't like those subjects enough for AP, only Honors or the same thing will happen like in Span. Lit. You should take AP classes of subjects that you are comfortable with and not because your teacher decided that you should take it, otherwise, it's just very stressful and can lower your GPA. And the reason why I have an A on Spanish Literature is because the teacher is nice, otherwise, I would have been failing that class; so I'm lucky. I think colleges would prefer if you took classes that you also enjoyed taking and not because everyone's taking them. If you don't like an AP class your taking, then there is a lower chance of getting an A on the class and an even lower chance of getting a 3 or higher on the AP exam.

Well, I wouldn't do it, but if you don't want to do any other activities or are a super-genius, you might be ok. I'm a senior, and I'm taking 4 APs (US History, English Lit, French, and Calculus), with 2 regular (Physics and Contemporary Problems - required religion course). I did pull off all A's (at least for the semester that really counts...), but I have come incredibly close to burning out, making myself physically sick from the stress, and my friends are always disappointed when I have to study instead of hang out with them, etc.
Maybe your school is different, though... at mine we can't take that many AP's our junior year - I took one, and I only could have taken more if I'd started French in jr. high. It is possible that the classes are less intense at your school than they are at mine...
As for colleges, they usually say that competitive applicants get mostly A's AND take a challenging course load, so I would take as many tough classes as I thought I could without losing my GPA and/or burning out. You might want to talk to your current teachers, possible future teachers, and/or school counselor about your own goals and performance.
One more thing - if you haven't taken at least 3 years of a foreign language already, you probably won't want to drop it. Most of the colleges I've applied to recommend 3 years, and a few say 4 is ideal.
Good luck!

It depends. Are you passing all of them? If you arent, then i suggest you let off a few of your AP or Honor classes. If you take all regular classes and do great in them, you'll still pass and get a good GPA and get all of your credits. But if you take all AP or honors and do OK in them, then thats worse...

well, the colleges would Love the way you have it planned out. But let me tell you from experience, I took all those classes my sophomore and Junior year. It TOTALLY burned me out! I put way too high expectations on myself, had 8- 10 hours of homework A NIGHT, and had no social life!!! I ended up failing of course and then dropping out of school all together b/c I thought I was a failure. 9 years later I realize that I put ways too much on my self and forgot to be a teenager. Don't lose your teenage years hunny, cause let me tell you, it's CRAZY in the real world, be a kid as long a you can!!! Trust me, you'll have plenty of time to prove yourself as an adult!

Yes-
very stressful, no time for friends, four AP exams...
i didn't even know that it was possible
of course, the colleges would like students who take more harder classes, but only if they succeed

actually if colleges see that you have a challenging course load and do just okay, its usually better than doing well in regular classes as your challenging yourself more in honors and AP

well, i would say you are crazy but if you can pull it off then its worth it. colleges look both directions, they look for high gpa as well as the classes you are talking. for example a person with high gpa with low level classes, then its not as impressive as a person with decent gpa and much more advanced classes. one more thing, have fun with chem
