What kind of paino do I get?

What kind of piano do I buy if I want to record the music I make straight into the computer?

It's for my brother. Do I need to buy a certain keyboard or buy certain software?

he has a Casio but I know he needs something better.

MIDI interface is quite popular for electric pianos. However, any piano with stereo RCA audio jacks should do.
