↓ Right-Hand click your "My Computer desktop icon"
↓ Select properties
↓ The RAM will be lisited in the system Information under the general tab
↓ You should be able to see if the RAM has increased.

Right click on my computer and select properties from the drop down menu. The amount of RAM is shown.

Start--> RUN --> key in 'dxdiag'--> you will able to see your computer current hardware/software information through Direct X.

click on start/control panel then double-click the system icon. you'll see how much memory you've got installed.
