I have a small pool with a Redwood tree that drops a lot of debris into the pool. There is a brown residue on the sides and bottom of the pool that is really unsightly and annoying. Do you have any recommendations on how to remove it?

I suspect that it's going to require a shock (chemical) and some scrubbing. You should contact a pool-keeper in your area and ask them to come out and give you an estimate.

I had to get in the pool and literally scrub the brown off with rags that I had poured some of the chlorine product for pools on to and I mean SCRUB- it is very gross and the best to do after getting rid of it is to keep a cover on your pool so it won't get debris in it!!

like everyone else says shock is really good but also try getting in and doing the scrubbing thing but this time use a bristle brush and dawn dish detergent. that really works (its best to do in between shockings) also try putting baking soda in the water the wierdest thing I know but it works! My parents have a pool and my dad used to make me do that all of the time. good luck I hope that helps...
