This is one I always beleived... You have to blow out all of of the candles on a birthday cake in order for your wish to come true.

Here are some more...

If your nose itches, you're going to kiss a fool. If a black cat crosses your path, it's bad luck. Its also bad luck to walk under a ladder, break a mirror or stand under an open umbrella inside the house. An itchy palm means you're going to get money and ringing in your ears means someone is talking about you.

I personally don't have many superstitions, but have you heard about the wedding frenzy over the date July 7, 2007 (lucky 777?) Apparently more than a few brides are reserving churches and incorporating the seven theme into their wedding, a bouquet of seven roses, seven diamonds on their wedding bands.... I’d say that’s pretty superstitious. (According to Inside Edition, Eva Longoria has thought about marrying on 7.7.7!

NO...the necklace hook thing isn't true. never heard of it. it just means that person happened to hook it at the front..or they like it that way..

and the second one, my mom told me that if you have hiccups someone is thinking about you.

yea...Friday the 13th is bad luck. if you see a black cat on Halloween it's bad luck. if you go to feardot.com you will die within the next 24 hours. if you get a chain mail and don't send it to 10 people in the next two minutes, you will die....

if you ask this question it's bad luck. (haha....Joking! =P)

Shoes on a table are unlucky, putting up an umbrella in the house is unlucky, having green walls is unlucky, if you cut yourself between your index finger and thumb (the soft fleshy bit) you'll get lockjaw, if you have itchy feet you're going to travel, don't stir anti-clockwise....all courtesy of my wnderfully insane grandmother! Aww bless her.

Here are a few that my mother used to tell me:

Don't go outside on Good Friday because a dog will bite you.

Every time you use your hand to prop up your head you are thinking bad thoughts about your mother.

If you bang your spoon on a pot while you are cooking then you will die a slow and horrible death.

Those are just a couple of them. She had a lot.

When i was in school all my friends did this one. When you are driving and you get right under the traffic light right as it turns yellow you kiss the palm of your hand then touch the inside of the top of the car. Make a wish as you do this. Quick though

I have been told if your ears are ringing someone is talking about you.
If your palm itches on your left hand you will get money. Low and behold, no joke, every time this happens, with in a few days I receive money for something, like a deposit back on a utility or back child support, even a friend will show up with $60.00 I had loaned them weeks before and forgotten about.

this isn't really a superstition
it's reality, just how it is

when you find unexplained change (always the same denomination) around your home in strange places, it means an angel is looking out for you, or an archangel, or a deceased relative. I find dimes, my son finds nickles.... you could just wake up in the morning, no one is in the house, and smack dab in the middle of your bed, when you re-enter your room..a dime.. or in the doorway to your bedroom, a dime...or the exact change that you see everyone get back that day..a dime... in the back seat of the car...yup you guessed it.........my deceased father sends me dimes, just to let me know that he is watching out for me, and it's also an angel thing for me too...

very true, and wonderful!
