You won't find much wrong. Looks like most of the people here have given you most of the problems already, so the only other thing i can think of is that you may get a lot of scratches (from getting keyed, among other things) because of those people who hate civics. I don't know why they hate them, but they absolutely do.

Well it depends on what year, what model, and what transmission you decide to get. They are all relatively reliable cars, but the automatic tranmissions seem to be a common failure on mid 90s civics. The distributer, map sensor, and cps are common problems with the 2000ish civics. What you want to do, is look for the year civics technical service bulletins. You can find them on google.
It will tell you the most common service problems people have.
I havent found many sites that go into detail on what the problem is and how it is repaired, but you can get the general info on the reliabilty from them.

I have a civic and haven't had any major problems it's a only 7yrs old and the only thing i had to change was my fan belt-something like that because it wouldn't automatically to cool my engine-so my car would overheat-but that was an inexpensive change. Other than that it's a great car!

I've owned four civic hatchbacks in the past 10 years( had the EF, EG, EK). i never had major problems. Love the car. Always ran a B16 engine. Great gas mileage and power is perfect for its size.

My 91 civic LX has 187,000 miles on it. it's a great car, never really had any problems with it. You may need to get a tune up several years down the road, but just do basic maintenance and you should be fine.

that depends on the year and miles on the civic, but the biggest problem I see is a broken timing belt, sounds simple, but it can cause major internal damage, usually you see this around 60-70 thousand miles

Well ever cars the same you do your normal changes for the fluids the only repair you'll have is probably change the timing belt and water pump other than that it'll have no problems .
