He's almost 15, not a great reader, but getting better. He needs a book for english, he likes war stuff and he loved 'The Outsiders', actually he read all 3 of those. I'd like it to be age appropriate and not too much cursing - can you suggest a good book for him? Thanks!

Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman (comedy) is a great book for teen age guys, Hatchet(survival adventure)or the White Fox Coronicles(futuristic action) by Gary Paulson are pretty good, not too difficult

Try Robert Cormier's books, like "The Chocolate War." There's also a really good book about Cormier and his books called "Robert Cormier: Daring to Disturb the Universe" (by Patty Campbell) which is pretty easy to read and would definitely help if he needs to read something for an English class.

I think I can fairly say that Anthem by Ayn Rand is certainly the most interesting book I've ever read and I read a lot (I'm almost 15)

It's really short and not difficult at all once you catch on that 'we' means 'me'
really, i think he should try it
it's fascinating
about a sort of futuristic society that's all wrong
really great

Harry Potter series.

Master and Commander by Patrick O'brian. This is an historical novel about the British navy during the Napoleonic wars.

Silverfin by Charlie Higson is about the young James Bond and all the 14 and 15 year old boys I know like it and the others in the series.

Try Freak The Mighty... it is hilarious!!! it is the best book ever!!! also, try stephen king books... they are amazingly amazing!!!
