Go ahead and do your own searches. I just read it somewhere online. Some of the most beautiful objects i have ever seen have been in Hubble images.

It's a devastating blow to the astronomy community that Hubble's main camera has shut down and will not regain more than a third of its original functionality. However, NASA was already planning a mission to upgrade that device in September of 2008, making it more powerful than it was in the first place. It's unfortunate that no high-quality images can be captured for the next 20 months, but it could certainly be worse.

i know it stinks.. it's a shame that we won't be able to see teh great pictures it caputures for a while
