You give no indication of the point of embarkation so it is difficult to give you an accurate answer.
In some countries it is illegal to take snakes out of the country. If you do and its allowed then you have to declare it on a special customs form and the snakes have to be packed or stored in special carry cases for transport. They are subject to a veterinary report at your expense prior to leaving. Depending on the length of the flight or trip they may have to be accompanied or checked upon by a vet to ensure their health.

It is my recollection that the importation of snakes into Spain was illegal. At the very least, should you apply and get permission to do so. Then the snakes will be quarantined for up to 3 months and will require a veterinary clearance certificate all at you expense before release.
Why would you bother? sell them before you leave and go catch some there.

Well, i moved to Spain in July 2006 with our 5 dogs (Siberian huskys). At least i know they do not quarantine dogs, but, the best thing to do, is to call a company that transports animals, live stock, show animals and they will get you all the information that you need and the cost. We had to have our dogs vaccinated with all or their requirements, they only permit dogs with microchips, the company will get you the agricultural permit, they will pick them up at your house and drop them at the address that you give them. I moved from Miami to Santander, and it wasn't cheap, it was about $7000 for all of them, but they are worth it. if you want the telephone of the company we used, e-mail me, and i will get it for you. It may not be in your city, but maby they can recommend someone near you.
Good luck,
Atzi

I don't think you can import snakes as pets here...only cats and dogs with pet passports, but contact the ministry of fisheries, agriculture and food for a definite answer
