Actually-- and you can go to snopes right now to verify this-- there have been MANY cases of dead bodies being found underneath hotel beds. They're usually murder victims. I wouldn't be surprised if the person before you "murdered" someone and left them in the bathroom, but only did it by strangling or stabbing or something and the person isn't actually dead. The sound is probably a bloodless, braindamaged, mutilated, zombie-like body of a person who is scratching for help with their last shreds of consciousness.
Or their ghost.

One time at a hotel we could hear the couple above us in the bath tub messing around, from the inside of the bathroom.

you can tell the hotel people that there are strange noises coming from your hotel bathroom. they will deal with it, and they may also be able to give you another room, if you ask.

noises in the pipes from air in them or from the 'gurgling' of other pipes echoing down yours..or it could be the furnace/generator making noises travel up through drains and pipes.....if you are REALLY worried call down to reception and ask for someone to come and check out the noises......tell them that you think there is a leak or something in the bathroom.....or make up something suitable...but don't worry.....you aren't SILLY...just get it checked!

the sound of a giant weight whooshing down towards a small white dog watch out!! wouldnt worry things make noises.

perhaps its jus the radiator or the water pipes.
or
there could be some sort of infestation inside of the walls surrounding the bathroom (probably just bugs)...
