I know our bodies release fluid on a regular basis but is there any way of telling naturally (without using ovulation sticks and/or thermometers)?

Charting is the best way I have found. Cervical fluid is a very reliable indicator of fertility. Temperature is fairly reliable. There's also cervical position and saliva ferning tests.

I recommend checking out ovusoft.com or fertilityfriend.com for good info on fertility signs. The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility and Garden of Fertility helped me immensely.

Cervical mucus is a good indicator. During the time of the month you are not fertile mucus is often sticky. Leading up to ovulation it increases and becomes more slippery, then on the day of ovulation it is usually slippery and streachy sort of reassembles egg white. When you are trying to conceive you can have sex when you first notice mucus changes then every 2nd day as you don't have to have sex on the day of ovulation to become pregnant because sperm can live for 3 to 5 days.

Well, if you don't want to count days, use a stick, or thermometer, you're really eliminating most of the ways people use. You can monitor your discharge to try to tell.
