The coriolis effect in the bath or sink is a myth.
You can usually make the water go down either way, depending on subtle differences on flow, condition of water at onset of draining, etc.

If you watch enough water go down plugholes in the town you live, you'll see it go both ways.

It's caused by the rotation of the earth, north of the equator it rotates clockwise south of the equator it rotates counterclockwise. Must go straight down on the equator,, lol
