Who has bigger hands, boys or girls?

This is a science project question. If a detailed answer is not provided, can I be told of a way to go about answering the question.

Well, I am an adult woman, 6' tall, and I have larger hands than almost all the men I have met unless they happen to be related to me. Guys in the general population have to be about 4" or more taller than me to have larger hands. I figure it is a function of height. My sisters and mother who am taller than I am, have hands even larger than mine.

So I would include height in your study. You might want to include hand width as well as length. I think for the most part there will be equal correlations to height rather than just sex. A 6' tall, guys being heavier at proper weight than a 6' tall woman.

Also, hands and feet stop growing first. I think you have to look for positve correlations to stuff like that, not just sex to answer your question. Say you were evaluating a group of 15 years old boys and a team of woman college basketball players...it would not show a true correlation. Equally, 13 year old girls are close to being done growing versus their 13 year old male conterparts.
