My girlfriend is my first les. experience/ girlfriend I've ever had, and we've been together for about 8 months, but I feel like she is too needy and it's been causing problems from the start. I work 2 full-time jobs and don't have any personal time. She on the other hand works 1 full-time job and sleeps full-time then harrasses me about DRIVING AN HOUR AWAY to see her every free chance I get. I work all day and all night, then she gets mad that I won't make the drive to spend a few hours with her. It's almost like, I'm not supposed to get tired.... or I'm not supposed to enjoy the little bit of time I get to sleep... I told her a long time ago that I didn't have time for a relationship and she said it's ok she will understand and respects any and every other responsiblitiy I have going on... but it turns out she doesn't... now all of a sudden, I'm a bad gf for not coming to see her everyday when she wouldn't dare jump in her car to drive an hour to see me. I can't tolerate it help!!

I also wanted to add that this is all we ever fight about and the situation is just regressing instead of getting better... so it's not like she doesn't know how I feel.

It's reassuring to see that lesbian relationships are pretty much the same as heterosexual ones.

that sounds very selfish of her to always tell you to drive an hour to come and see her when she has a car of her own and could drive to see you once in a while. Have you told her that you're really tired and that's why you can't come by all the time. Maybe she thinks the reason why you don't come by is because you're just mad at her. You need to explain to her that the only reason you're doing this is because you're so tired from working 2 full-time jobs that you really don't have the energy for anything else. Also tell her that if she really wants to see you she needs to drive to you.

Dude, she wants a relationship. You already know what you want to do, if she gets mad that you're tired, that sucks. She should be saying get your rest and she should make the trip once and a while. She's the 1 with only 1 job. You let her know you don't appreciate her treating you like that. Plus, she's your first girl relationship, you got sprung, it happens, now get over it. You have an agenda, if she can't respect that then let her go. But don't rush it, give it time, let her miss u. She might come around she might not. But take it slowly, she might be the unstable type.
No offense

well have you told her everyhting that you mentioned on here?? just tell her the way you feel..see how she responds to it and if she continues to argue over the same matter let her go..if its really meant to be this will just serve as a test for the both of you..if its meant to be the both of you will resolve things and be back together in no time. Oh and it should be 50/50 between the both you..you should both take turns driving the hour to see each other not just you.

ugh, this is the *exact* same situation i was in with my ex... AFTER we broke up! she wanted me to drive an hour to go visit her and then was just terrible to me all the time to get my attention because she felt like i was ignoring her. don't just break up, but don't even TRY to stay friends for a long, long time.

It sounds as if your girlfiend is dissatisfied with what you are able to give and deserves the opportunity to pursue her dreams. You, on the other hand, deserve to date someone who doesn't behave like a petulant child, whining for more of what she's unwilling to do for you. Lose her.

Have you tried a boyfriend? I would imagine a male companion would be ever so much fun for you to play with!
