First off I don't really understand this thing because I always have problems with it.

The problem I am having now is every time I plug it into the computer it says the iPod is in recovery mode. So I can't update the song list without having to erase it all and start over. I don't understand why this is happening. Any ideas?

Also, is there a limited # of songs that can be added to the iTunes library. I got a message saying all of my space had been used and I couldn't add any more tunes.

Try restoring the ipod to factory settings. If you have the updated itunes there is an option to do so on the page. Start fresh and see if that helps.

there's no definite answer, it could be a corrupted song/photo/video, wire knocked out of place slightly, or just a hard drive failure..

your only hope is that apple will replace it with your songs or you have a ffriend who is REALLY good with computers, there's no guarantee, but luckily, i had the second option
