Could anyone give me a full and indepth definition exploring both the denotation and any connotations of the word?

Ideology is an organised collection of ideas. It can be a way of looking at things.. common sense.
It can also be ideas proposed by a dominant class of society to all members of society.
The word ideology was coined by Count Antoine Destutt de Tracy in the late 18th century to define a science of ideas.

An ideology is a pattern of consistent and logical belief which directs the fufilment, implementation or development at individual, corporate and national level. In other words, this is how society views or perceive the situation or events. Ideologies are likely to be modified especially if perception or general behavioural patterns change.

(Cultural) ideology is most notably religious or political world-views (full of expectations, agendas, baises, etc)
