if your head-over-heels in love with your partner, and they just revealed to you that they don't love you (but still wanted to stay with you because they really liked you and your company)...and you've been together for about a year... would you leave them or stay with them?

I wouldnt stay with them and be like together, but it would be cool if you could stay friends.

This would be a go no where relationship. Is that what you want? This person has let you know that they like you as a friend but are obviously going to look elsewhere for their true love. Are you prepared to stay with this person while they move on emotionally? Could you live like that? It would be quite different if the two of you were never involved, just friends. Doesn't sound like that was the case. You two can still be friends even with you living elsewhere. At least you could also get on with your life. Be careful that you are not just being used. I wish you well.

Leave them. A person willing to stay in a relationship because they like your company does not happiness make. You should have enough self respect to pull yourself out of that relationship. Otherwise what your really telling yourself is that it is okay to be used - that's what they are doing ..using you.
It may be hard but sometimes the hardest things are the right thing to do. The payoff will be that you are in a relationship with somebody that loves and adores you..as you do them.

helll no. if the love is not really there from both sides then you no longer have a relationship. staying with a person knowing that he/she doesn't love you can not only damaged you in the long run but it can also make than person very unhappy. is better to just let it be and go different ways that ending up getting hurt by either cheating, or recent by you because you are not been treated the way you wish from the one you love.

The one thing i would ask myself is how would we be in another year from now or even 10 years from now?
People come through our lives for one of three reasons.
1. To teach us something we need to know.
2. B/c we need them at that time in our lives.
3. For a life time b/c he/she is the right one for us.
Many times in our lives we will be with ppl weather friends or partners, to teach us things we need to know. We may not see it or even understand it until there gone but there is normally a really good reason.
Did you ever think that you two may be better of as just friends.
I've had someone say that to me in the past to he is the father of my children, and yes it hurt a great deal but I push on and moved forward. Now I'm with a man that loves me as much as I love him. I couldn't ask for anything better.
You are better than that, do you not want someone in your life that is going to love you without a doubt. Everyone should have that, so you should think in anyway that you don't need that too.

Why be with someone who can't reciprocate the same feelings as you? I loved my ex when we were together but I just couldn't take the fact that I knew he was incapable of loving me as much as I could him. He never loved me even 1/2 as much as I loved him. So I let myself go for good and I was happier.
You deserve someone who can love you the way you deserve to be loved! No one should just be something they settle for cuz your good company.
Give your self a chance at real love. Maybe if you left him he may realize he loved you more than he thought!

I hate to tell you this because it sounds like you are so in love with this person, but if it were me I would leave. I would be afraid that I would be trying way to hard to make someone love me that is never going to do so. For example: you would probably do anything for this person even if it compromised your morals, right? In return he would not do that for you and who knows how long he will actually stick around. Go be Happy!

I would leave him because whats the whole point of stayin with someone that dosen't love you the way they love you because when ever he kissess you is just gonna be like if he kissing a stanger that he don't even know or if he was kissing the wall and thats gonna hurt you even more so nah its not worth sticking around.

wow together for almost a year n he still doesnt love u? i wud leave him becuz i wud want ma bf telling me he loved me everyday to ensure me that their is no one better than me and there wud never be......him sayin he liked u a lot n luvs ur company is like he thinks of u as just a friend becuz he can do that wit any other person.
