Thanks...

And if you know... why would I be starting my period while after taking them for two weeks when you aren't supposed to for 3 months? So confused... thanks again.

i asked my doctor the same question and he said that there is no chance! i know that they say that there is always a possibility that you can get pregnant even if you have your period but i guess that a doctor should know better. I'm not saying that it's impossible but since a doctor would say something like that i suppose the chances are very very very low. as for your pills i don't know but they usually say that after one week of taking them you are "safe". i actually had an "accident" some months ago and since i have already been through an abortion i panic-ed and flew to the doctor to see if i should take any "after" pills but since i was on the 5th day of my period he said i couldn't get pregnant. note that at that time i was not on the pill so i suppose that you are in an even better position. anyway, i hope you feel better now. PS : congratulations on your newborn! i wish the best to you and your family!

Okay, I can't say from experience, but my mom was an OB nurse, so I she knows some....she said that it is possible to get pregnant when you're on your period. And it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill, especially if you miss a pill or didn't take it at the same time you usually do. I would just say wait until you can take a pregnancy test, before you get stressed about it.

It is always possible as nothing is 100% effective at birth control except if you don't have ovaries/uterus, don't have a cervix opening, are not female, and complete abstinence.

If you are concerned you may be pregnant, the only thing that will really settle it is checking a pregnancy test - and even then, if it is really early on, it may not be accurate.

It is possible. The birth control can be harmful to the unborn baby so find out asap.

Yes. It is. I have 4 children to prove it. The youngest is 7. I did both as well. Good luck.

contraceptives are not perfect, they have like .1% error. But taking pills and on your period sounds almost imposssible to get pregnant.

A period is a puncutation mark that concludes a statement, for biological use, see menstruation!

In answer to your question, intercourse during your mensis will not necessarily function as an effective contraceptive as ovulation occasionally occurs during menstruation.
