By the way, Manu's block was AWESOME!
Well, I think that it could have been intentional because I actually saw it happen. When Manu blocked the ball, it went in the air in front of Kobe. There was no need for Kobe's arm to swing back toward Ginobili. It probably was intentional also because Kobe doesn't have a halo over his head...if you know what I mean.

No, it definitely was not intentional. I was watching the game, and if you saw the other players (both Lakers and Spurs), none of them (I MEAN NONE) even looked twice on that play. Kobe was trying to get a foul called, in hopes that he would make 2 free throws. As he was coming down after Manu made a great block , Kobe accidentally hit Manu on the face. It was a hard INADVERTENT hit when he was flailing his right arm. The NBA is losing even more credibility with their selective suspensions, or lack thereof. Do you all remember when Raja Bell tried to clothesline Kobe during a play and threw him down after Kobe had him beaten? Raja himself admitted to it and regretted making that play. He could've seriously hurt Kobe then, yet how many games suspension did he get? ONE!!! Does the NBA think that those 2 separate plays are equally as bad? One was an accident; questionable, that some would argue either way. The other had an absolute intent to harm another player. The NBA is simply horrible.
And to compare Kobe's "strike" on Manu to Melo's slap? Ridiculous! Simply no comparison. What Melo did was intentional and cowardly. He approached Collins and deliberately slapped him on the right jaw, making him fall on the floor. Melo then retreated backwards, running away. Coward!
People will argue that it was intentional on Kobe's part because they choose to. A lot of people choose to see that play as dirty because of their hatred for him. Put Dwayne Wade or Lebron James in place of Kobe, I bet you there would not have been a suspension. Most fans wouldn't have even thought twice about it. I'm in utter disbelief for the suspension.

It was unintentional, but anytime you strike someone you stand the chance of a 1 game suspension. Melo made a cowardly punk move; he hit and ran; he was not involved in the altercation at all. Artest got more than 50 after he was assaulted by a fan, so go figure.

Kobe already made a assertion with regard to the elbow and the league already took action. Regardless it substitute right into a one game suspension so its time to circulate on and there is greater advantageous communities and issues for Kobe to rigidity approximately authentic now.

The situations are totally different. Kobe's elbow was during the course of the game, whereas 'Melo suckerpunched another player during a fight when the refs had stopped the game.

Melo threw a sucker punch then backed away like a coward. He deserved every bit of his suspension. As far as Kobe, I was surprised that they didn't allow him to buy Ginobili a $1 million earring and make it all go away.

I don't think it was intentional. But it is hard to see if he was doing it intentionally or not, so I guess one game will be enough punishment. Melo's suspension was just because he deserved to sit out and think over how stupid he looked trying to fight like a school boy!

Intentional, yes. Comparable to Anthony's situation, no.
Kobe SWUNG his arm into Ginobili, it wasn't a continuation of his shooting motion. I'm just surprised that darling little Kobe actually got slapped on the wrist by the league. I watched the game and it was obvious, but of course the refs turned a blind eye.

Kobe was frustrated by Manus D the whole game and caused him to slap Manu. He was trying to get a call from the refs by throwing his arm out and it accidently hit Manu. He is a joke and the NBA is pathetic. It was unnintentional but he still stupidlt threw his arm out like a moron.
