Go to www.deals2buy.com. They have listing of all current deals available on all types of laptops.
I prefer HP or Sony to Dells. Currently a Sony vaio is available for something around 700 USD. Check that out. If you are a student, you can get an additional 10% discount on HPs too.

My family goes through Best Buy because they have really good warranties and customer service. You can do all of what oyu need to online at www.bestbuy.com. My advice would be to figure out what kind of computer you want, and wait for a sale, then buy. Also, if you're tight on cash, you can always consider a best buy credit card. We did that for my fiance's computer, charged it, and paid it off slowly so that it would actually be affordable.

Those are great for bargains. Personally I just bought a laptop directly from HP. I wanted one that was a little higher end and had certain things that the other bargain sites couldn't compete with.

try hsn.com and qvc.com . I got my laptop off of qvc and I absolutely love it. sometimes you can get them on clearance. I saved about $800 off of my Gateway.
