Just goes to show you just how much sickness there is still in the world.
I seriously doubt that at the age of two this BOY was telling his parents that he is a girl trapped in a boy’s body.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING.
One can deceive oneself all one wants to into believing that he is a she and vice versa, but whatever gender God make you through your genetic makeup, THAT IS THE GENDER YOU ARE.
A sex change operation doesn’t make one the opposite sex; it makes one a person with mutilated genitalia.
It’s a pity that the report is that the CHILD CONVINCED THE PARENTS of this crap; and an even bigger shame that the parents allowed themselves to be convinced and went along with this crap.
Taxpayers there should be thoroughly incensed that they footed the bill.
What does it benefit the taxpayer that paid for this operation?
Do the men get to have sex with the now girl?
Do the women get to have sex with the now girl?
Do they at least get some kind of tax credit?
This operation was not to save a life, but imo it destroyed at least one.
What if this boy was to mate with a female and have a child that was to be a savior in the world?
i.e. maybe his progeny would find the cure for whatever; become a great peacemaker among nations; discover life outside of our planet, solar system or galaxy; etc.?
WHAT IF?
We’ll never know now, will we?

okay, I understand how crazy that story sounds, and people bringing up the issue of what God intended us to be, etc. (I'm not bashing anyone, sorry if that's what it sounds like), but at the same time, since I've studied a bit about it, I don't think it was a bad idea completely.
I'm studying psychology, and my classes aren't only about theory, but I also have to take classes about anatomy, physiology, perception, etc...the list goes on. These transgender people are not like what people consider gays...choosing to be that way (I think there are those who choose to be gay as well as those who don't choose to be), or like drag queens, cross dressers, etc. There is literally something chemically/biologically different about transgender people. In a transgender person, the brain developed and is female, but the body is male on the outside, and vice versa. Something during the pregnancy went wrong during the development hormonally, and physically, and that is why many of these transgender people get sex change operations. They're altering their body to be what it should have been. Flesh isn't what makes you what you are...it goes further than that. I hear people declare that others have to accept them for who they are or else, etc. What makes a person who they are? not skin, but what's inside. Just like race...I didn't choose to be born white, blacks don't choose to be born black and so on, and neither of us chooses our gender. What about hemaphrodites who have both sexual organs...they generally choose which gender they will be, so the same should be for transgender people. It has been shown over and over that there is a much higher suicide rate as well as other problems, such as substance abuse, for the transgender people that don't have the corrective surgery. The majority aren't gay or lesbian, so how do you think they would feel being female on the inside, forced by society's standards to be with another woman, or get treated badly for it? I know it seems weird...I felt that way until I learned more about it, and it made sense. When these people have the sex change on the outside to what matches inside, they are able to live much heathier lives and have a better chance. I know I sound a little too liberal, but I'm not. I just follow fact, and everyday things are proven right or wrong...just like back in the early days of the usa through the 1960's, even some today, believe slavery and racism were okay...but we learned differently.

The parents are complete imbeciles. 14 is too young to allow this to happen. Once they become adults and want to pursue this fine. A 14 year old does not have the maturity or the life experiences to make definitive final decisions on their sexuality. Secondly under NO circumstances should the tax payer have to pay the bill on this.

I applaud the parents who were paying enough attention and accepting of their child to know what his life was like. Should the taxpayers be paying for it? That is a question for the german taxpayers. I personally would help out someone in this position. Do you know how difficult his struggle would be later in life? If his friends are already okay with it, I believe his parents made the right choice. Children are very harsh and cruel sometimes.

purely because your friends say they have had sex, does not mean they litrally have. it really is purely something to be pleased with putting forward infront of all their friends. There probable all purely like you. A virgin. And thats not a huge deal. Plus, once you first have sex, you'll understand it really is not that tremendous to what those made it out to be.... so really they don't understand what they're speaking about, in the journey that they reported there first time grow to be magnificent... reason thats highly not likely. The age you may legally lose your virginity at is the age of 16, yet extremely you ought to attend untill your waiting. till eventually you're particular you a waiting for what ever resposinablities you've, with the moves you opt on to take. because having sex, can grow to be into having a baby.... and your straightforward too youthful for that. i understand you'd be intending to have sex because all of your friends make it out to be the finest element contained in the international, i understand that 0.5 of those friends you've wont have even had sex, they purely decide on to say they ought to fit in with the gang and be ready to seem as a "guy" at the same time as extremely they purely look stupid because they don't understand what they're on about, because actual. Nobodys first time as at sex, is the most magnificent esperience ever. unlike a number of your so pronounced as none virgin friends decide on to describe that is. That purely proves they don't understand, what takes position in sex.

i just heard he was 12....maybe it was a different person. at any rate, do we really think that a 12 or 14 year old is mature enough to make that kind of decision. After all, we don't think they're mature enought to vote, marry, have sex, go to war, drink or smoke....why are they old enough to change their sex....that seems like a pretty big decision to make for a 14 year old.....
when I was 14 I had trouble deciding what outfit to wear to school or who was hotter...kirk cameron or river phoenix? (of course I've just dated myself right there)
Anyways, no way should a tax payer ever have to pay for anyones sex change for any reason what-so-ever. I liken a sex change to a breast augmentation.....its what the person wants but its not vital to their quality of life.

It sounds crazy, but as long as responsible psychologists were involved I think it is ok.
When ever you watch talk shows with people who changed sexes, they always say then know since they were small and experienced trauma due to it. Maybe this case will avoid a youth of unusual misery.
