my fingernail tips are almost completely white, ok if i was a girl id say awsome and cool and probly wouldnt be asking this but seriously im a guy and my girlfriend and parents think im going to a salon or something and getting some kinda french manicure, WHICH IM NOT!!!
Please help i cant stand to have my finger nails short, it drives me nuts and i dont want them to look like girls finger nails, i mean is there some way to stop the white tips or some way to dirty them up or something?
(as a side note, no i dont really do dirty work and am always in a clean area so they never really get dirty)

To be honest with you, I think it's important for a man's hands to look nice and clean. Cut them, yes, so that just the tips are showing..that doesn't make you a freak at all to not like short fingernails. Now, if your finger nails are long like a girls and you put pink nail polish on....weeeeellllllll???? That's a little freakish.
But don't "dirty them up" cuz that's just really gross looking. If that's what they think, then let them think it. Don't be so self-concious. You're fine!

Well, first of all...I am a bit jealous. But I smoke, so unless I paint them my nails are yellow.
Second...short of getting them dirty, there's not much you can do. You could find something filthy to clean, or take apart something greasy and put it back together. Then when you wash up, just don't clean underneath them. My neighbor is a landscaper who's in the dirt all day long; his nails are filthy (what little he has).
You might want to try to get used to having them a little bit shorter than normal, and just wean yourself off of having useful fingernails... going shorter every time you trim.

It depends on how long your fingernails are. My boyfriend has very nice, clean hands and his fingernail tips are very white. It really is no big deal having nice nails, as long as you're nails aren't too long, guys should definitely keep their nails short. There really isn't anything you can do to make your nails dirtier. You shouldn't be so insecure about your fingernail tips being so white, a lot of girls are attracted to guys with nice hands.

Alrighty,i dont know where to start....Well as a woman im a bit jelous because i dont have very pretty hands.But if a man came up to me and had long finger nails...i think that it looks gay...most men dont care about what their fingers look like..and cut their nails.Now if a man had nails that looked like he had a french manicure, well lets just say im not attracted but turned off.Now some advice for you, suck it up and be a man, Cut our nails.

A little bit of toenail is fine... but I agree together with you. Long nails are kinda major.

Just trim them now and then, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. You just take care of yourself-why should they worry about that?
