I doubt it they will put up with him like they have for years .Just another example of be carefull what you wish for you might get it
The Libyan people saw him as some kind of hero at one point and helped him to grab the power (he must be getting on a bit maybe he will die soon)

I'm not quite sure who Gaddaffi is but if he is a dictator there is guaranteed to be a rebellion against him. It may not be all the country but someone there will do it.
