I am planning on taking a trip to Texas and I am thinking about taking Amtrak there. Now lets just say I wanted to bring a friend of mine with and her name is "Mary Jane". Do they do bag searches or are there dogs there that can sniff that out? What are the secruity measures that they take for Amtrak??

Trains and buses dont do bag checks. Tell "mary jane" she'll pass right on through. Choo Choo.

In a post 9/11 world expect bag searches and sniffing dogs. Like an airport basically. You and Mary Jane might want to drive there.

amtrak takes very serious security measures..just got back...will search and may have dogs....so leave mj HOME>......dude!!
