I assuming you are talking about self-mutilation, not skipping class! At this point it is just hear-say. Kids go into guidance counselors offices all the time and tell all sorts of outlandish stories about what "other people are doing." The next step is that guidance will call you in and ask you point blank about it. They may also ask your teachers if they've seen any "signs of cutting". At that point if everybody seems to think you are doing it they will tell your parents unless you tell the counselors that telling them(parents) will put you in physical danger from them. At which point they'll call Social Services. So if you're doing it you're pretty well busted no matter what. It's not a healthy outlet for stress and pain so if you are actually doing it this may be the start to a path of recovery!

In most school districts your parents will be notified after X number (defined by the school) of absences. In some larger areas the truant officer will track you down which starts a whole mess you don't want to get involved with. Tell your parents the truth before someone else does. It will hurt them less.

Do you mean cutting class, or cutting yourself? In either case I would think they would investigate then notify parents. Or at least I hope they would. Being a parent myself I would like to know and either situation needs intervention.

More often that not, your parents will be notified if they think there is a serious threat that you intend self harm - IE suicide, but just cutting yourself and they are informed twice or so, they will note it down and take the appropriate actions if it appears to grow worse with each act done.

confident. She has to, by using regulation. To could bypass to counseling, you will could get a psychological assessment and deemed to have a quite substantial case of something or a ability suicide possibility. Then, you would be forced to bypass to counseling. in case you probably did no longer bypass, Social amenities could look at the reasons as to why. they might make you stop activities or make you bypass to counseling for the period of college hours. confident, they are able to make you do this. in case you (or your mum and dad) refused to conform, you ought to be taken by using the state and be made a state ward. you ought to be put in Boys city or a team foster homestead, stuff like that.

Yeah they do it for your safety supposedly. That happened to me once, this girl who hated me made up some rumor that i cut myself and did drugs (definitely not) and they called me to the office and had to have like some parent conference thing. It was ridiculous.

Yes, they usually do. You also could be admitted to a mental hospital if deemed suicidal.
Just don't cut yourself. Are you trying to get attention? Find a positive way to seek it.

Good luck.
