diamond or gold mine type things open to the public around here?
Also were there any shipwrecks that happened around any of the beaches around here so I can take my metal detector and have a look?
I'm just looking for things to do.

no I just wanted a new hobby and of course it'd be fun to get rich with little or no effort...duh...who wouldn't wanna. I always wanted to do this stuff back home where I could do it and never got the chance. Now that I am here I wondered if there was somewhere I could. I'm not intrested in the tourist type attractions. I've done all those. I live a boring life and want to do something different and that kind of thing seems like it'd be fun to me.

The only shipwreck that I'm aware of is at Ocean Shores. Another idea might be to go to Fort Casey on Whidbey Island, which is preserved, but still very much in tact.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Although Seattle doesn't have any 'gold' or 'diamonds' nearby, and there are no 'shipwrecks' for you to 'search' there is LOTS OF NEAT STUFF to explore ... the difference is that your question asked about only 'ways you could get rich for little/no effort' and my 'answer' is 'look around, because Seattle is a big city with LOTS TO DO ...

I doubt you'll find gold or anything but on Alki when the tide is very very low you can see the old amusement park that was out there. no gold no shipwreck but it's a crazy thing to see
