the word is Paranoid, we think everyone is out to get us.
The problem is, this partly true
Religion divides, some religious leaders have been power hungry they saw other religions as a threat to that power. so sent armys on in the name of their god to wipe out anything they saw as a threat.
The problems are not with religion as such but with power hungry priests and rulers, using people to keep that power.
