I'm a parent of a teen driver who has been driving for about a year now. I would DEFINITELY want to know from anyone if she were driving recklessly, and endangering others. Number 1, if she kills herself or someone else, it will definitely negatively affect me and my family. Number 2, if she manages to not kill people, but cause a bad wreck, it will negatively affect our family finances, because her insurance premiums would skyrocket. I think his mom and dad could figure out a way to share your concerns with him without his figuring out where they found out, parents are pretty good at stuff like that. We can be pretty darned sneaky when we have to be, and you have to be with teens. I would definitely recommend telling your father, you're absolutely not protecting him by keeping silent.

There is a middle ground. If he continues, he may well end up in a coffin, but he also wants to look cool to you and his friends. Try making a deal with him. Set an example by losing the radar detector and driving safely yourself. Show him that being cool doesn't have to mean ending up on ice. If he doesn't go for it, then tell his parents. In the end, you could save his life and that's what being a big brothers about.

I doubt it. with none formal intercourse education in any respect I had a sturdy concept of the mechanics by the point i substitute into 11 and that substitute into in 1960. i won't see how any 12 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous immediately does not be conscious of a super form of the basics, even without education by parent or college. a toddler might could be extremely unobservant, remoted or in a fashion, stupid, to not be conscious of that. immediately a curious toddler has in basic terms to feed a pair of words into an internet seek engine. they gets a lesson in the mechanics all authentic, what the prefer not get is warnings approximately being pregnant and sickness. you're puzzled by hysteria and fake non secular ranting which has been going on for as long as i will undergo in strategies. coaching young babies a thank you to have intercourse without getting the lady pregnant is a fashion of combating underage pregnancies, through fact many are going to have intercourse besides in the past say 18 years and that they already be conscious of the mechanics. verify the underage being pregnant and abortion quotes in varied international locations and in areas interior those international locations. Teenage abortion and being pregnant actually correlate with decrease academic stages, bigger religiosity and relative poverty.

What's going to happen if you tell, will they take his car away until he reaches the ripe old age of 18, when he will have learned that driving faster than the limit is bad and wrong.
Surely you remember the day you woke up on your eighteenth birthday and realized how stupid you've been for the last year.
The State sets the laws that govern the age of drivers, it is their responsibility to police the activities of all drivers.
You can tell, it just wont do any more good than the talk you've allready had with him.

Ya know what you are an adult and you told him he was being wrong in driving radical--hey law student--how about showing him some of the penalties for being busted for speeding and the insurance rate hike with every ticket --and that before too long (if he doesn't wrap himself around a pole first) that Dad will pull his license IF the DMV doesn't do it first--
But in loving him as it sounds as tho you do--tell him to slow down or because he isn't listing to you that you will rat him off--my oldest son told my 17 year old to slow down and when he didn't ?? He ratted him out--I was livid--did he hate his brother for telling?? No --he knows he is loved --other wise we wouldn't care at all--so don't fear that--besides in time (even if he is mad) it wont last for life and you will sleep better at night--

I would tell you might be saving his life or someone else. Its people like that That dont think before doing something wrong. If he wrecks that car going that fast and he lives and his passenger does not He will be needing you for court. If he is the type that just dont care what other people say its going to result in something bad eventally Good luck.

Its hard being a hypocrite but a 17 year old driving like a loon is much worse. Tell his mom about it - you might just be saving his life and someone else's.

When teenagers start driving they feel that nothing can hurt them, and i feel that you should mention it, i wouldn't go about it in a "im telling on you" way..just explain to his mom that you are concerned with his safety and that only being 17 he does not have the experience to be driving at such high speeds. He may be mad with you but one day he will understand.

I think you should tell his mother. You would probably gain alot of respect from her by telling her. She does not have to tell him she knows to enroll him in a drivers safety course. Plus if something doeshappen to him driving you will have a clean conscious.
