I made an online payment a few days ago, and this evening I look at my balance through Online Banking and it says that I am -0.54 overdrawn.
I will have to pay in some money tomorrow morning, but will I get a charge for just 55p?
I haven't got an over-draft allowance.

PAY IT OFF QUICK! JUST LOOKED AT THE LLOYDS CHARGES PAGE ON THE WEB - http://www.lloydstsb.com/rates_and_charges/current_account_charges.asp#overdraftcharges

£30 per DAY!

Lloyds are a nightmare about being overdrawn. My better half use to bank with them and they'd charge her £25 for being overdrawn.

She stopped using the account before we got a joint account and one time they sent her a letter saying she was OD. She transfered funds to balance the account & then at the end of the month they charged her for the initial OD, which then made her OD again ....... they charged her for that aswell!

Man, they got a right earful from me ....... we got most of the charges back but this happened a few times until we closed the account!

Check their website for account charges!

You will get charged but this has recently been made illegal so you can ask and get the charges back. There is a letter you can download from the internet but i am not sure where to look for it .This letter is being used by people to send to their banks as it contains the right wording and the banks have to respond to it.If you cannot locate it threaten to report the bank to the Ombudsman if they are refusing to refund. This usually does the trick. Also did you know you can claim back all charges over the last 6 years under this new ruling.

You could well be charged £25 - £35 rather depends on the banks policy. It should say in the booklet you get when you open an account. If you do get charged though you can always get in touch with your bank and question it.If you stay in credit most of the time and this is a rare occurence they may waive the charge.

If I was you i'd go in to the bank asap and talk to someone about it and pay off the overdraft to shut them up, because lloyds tsb will charge you for this because it still comes up as an overdraft on there computer system and a letter will go out automatically. £30 is the charge for this I think.

Varies from bank to bank. The Co-op lets you go minus £10 before they charge you.

Most banks have a telephone banking service (24 hour). Give 'em a call, and ask. Be ultra polite and grovel.

they dont normally charge upto £10 overdrawn, you do really need to put a pound in though to cover it, but i really DONT think they will charge you, if you ever write to any bank with an honest explanation, they nearly 99% withdraw the charges, Good luck, but i wouldnt worry too much!
