Probably because they are not coming from a place of overt institutionalized racism that has shaped their view of the world and caused them to feel as though they are under constant attack and scrutiny by people asking questions like this. You should not lump all of group of people this way. I am sure if you had met Idi Amin or Yoweri Museveni both ruthless dictators from African countries you would not have this same view. People are people not a race so you can't lump whole races of people into pleasant personality traits or not.

I am afraid you've opened a can of worms here my friend.
First let me say, I'm not prejudiced, I have a mixed child, and my husband is AF.Am. and he's about the most POLITE person I've ever met in my LIFE. Same goes for his family.
My daughters father was a different story. I think it has something to do with history. The black population has been so persecuted by whites in our country's history, and the resulting distrust is passed on to their decendendants.
Personally, I feel the majority of AF. Am population TODAY is expecting payback for what their ancestors were forced to endure historically in this country. I wish there was a way to wipe away all the pain and suffering they endured...from THEM, not their decendants. We each have our own cross to bear so to speak.
My own heritage is Irish, and they also had alot to deal with. So did the Chinese.
It's just an opinion.

I am african american and I have not noticed, any one from another country be more polite, but maybe you act a certain way towads african americans and you decide they fit the regular "black" person. But that was stereotyping, you have maybe came across only rude black people from US. All black people are not ghetto, just like poor white people does not mean trailor park trash.

People from other countries in general are more polite that US citizens. Have you been to London?

I dont think all of black people in the US are rude, i happen to have a great friend who is black and shes much more polite than any white person ive ever met, however i know where you are coming from. It seems to me like that percentage of rude black people thinks because of slavery that white people owe them. I dont believe in slavery, but i do think that we need to get up and move on.

Gosh I never know all the Black people were rude in the States. I'm quite sorrry if every Black person you had met were rude to you. I would like to tell you that I'm an Black person and see? I'm not rude. BTW, I'm a Black person from the States. May God bless your soul.

Probably because living in hardship has humbled them.
Blacks living in this country, have a much, much better life
than they do.

united states hasnt been very nice to them... I am not sure what if ant slavery happened in other countries
I have met AMAZING black people in the states maybe you need to move to a different location...
