actualy , this very idea was used in a novel about 20 yrs ago. the vampire was actually affected by neither a cross or a star of david, but to be extra cruel to a jewish man, he pretended to be repeled by a cross, but not a star of david. the book was titled "the Keep" by F. Paul Wilson

That's a brilliant question, never thought of that before.

Most vampire stories come from Europe, with individuals like Vlad the Impaler, and as they are European with the common faith being Christianity, crosses are seen as the only true symbol representative of God, but i guess a Jewish vampire would only ever be burned by Stars of David.

If the Jews are onto something and the Christians are wrong. lol.

According to Mr. Dresden, the famous wizard-for-hire, it can be any symbol of faith, as long as the faith is sincere. For Dresden, he keeps vampires at bay with a pentacle. In good old Nevernoon, that trick only works on the thrall vampires (the undead imitations of the peaceful, mortal vampires). And, it's normally an iron triangle.

a cross...why? because the modern vampire myth became popular in the Victorian age in Europe, guess what, the majority of Europe is xtian so in all the myths vampires are brunt by...crosses because they considered xtianity as the only true religion...

do you have any evidence that may disagree withthis?
