hehe, not only is that not proof but even if you had real proof. I mean you could show people the ship, the aliens, everything you can imagine to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt, i still expect at least half the people wouldn't believe it.

For some reason i don't understand this idea is met with irrational skepticism.

Eye witness accounts are good enough to send someone to prison for life or even execute them, but they are utterly useless where the idea of UFOs is concerned.

Yes, it is proof positive that they could not identify what it was that they saw, hence it was a genuine UNIDENTIFIED flying object. That does not mean it was an intergalactic space cruiser. There are a lot of aircraft our government and the Russian government have built that we would not recognize. They don’t tell us everything. But it a lot more reasonable that we are seeing things that were built here than things that came from elsewhere.

Forget ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Star Wars’. They are stories, done with special effects. So was Superman, but you don’t expect to see him flying around, do you? The universe is too big. Nothing can travel faster than light. It would take tens of thousands, maybe millions of years to get here. Nothing would take a trip like that, knowing they would not live to arrive. How would they even know we were here…? Would you take a trip that would last the rest of your life, just in case there was something there to visit?

I hope this doesn’t sound harsh. I believed in aliens once, too. It’s a nice dream, but it just isn’t true.

Proof of what? Proof that 2 pilots saw an object in flight that they could not identify? Yes. Or proof that they saw a space ship from another planet? No.

Look at it scientifically. People's testimonials cannot be proven unless there were a way to look into someone's memories and see for ourselves which of course is impossible.

If you believe it, then it is based entirely on faith, a totally different concept. That could be proof enough for some people, but as far as evidence, no.

Look at the judicial system for example. Is a witness's testimony considered evidence? No. It is a testimony and nothing else.

I don't think so. If my mother said she saw a green dragon smoking a giant bowl of pudding, I might give that more weight than if some homeless guy said it, but I'd still have a hard time believing it.

Just the other day, my friends and I saw something we can't identify while walking in the woods. That proves that it must have been the abominable snowman, right?

If you don't believe me, I can show you the exact spot where we saw it.
