From a dark location in the country you can see the Andromeda galaxy without a telescope. It is something like two and a half million light years away.

About 2 million light years away from us are several stars which we can see with the naked eye. It happens that those stars are not close in azimuth and elevation to closer and brighter stars which would block our ability to see farther than them as often happens when you look into bright automobile headlamps...the objects behind the headlamps are obscured from us.
Objext size, Object Brilliance, and Contrasting Light play important parts to this answer and for that reason a simple
one word answer is not possible.
How far can you see a "fly" for example? How far at night?
versus
How far can you see a "Lightning Bug" on a clear night?
Stars have varying diameters. Some are about the size of Earth, some 20,000 times bigger, and some are truly immense. It is rather obvious that the immense stars could be seen much farther away from us if we have no clouds and a night sky.

Your eyes can see the stars alright but could they see a flea 1 mile away?
I guess it depends on what you are looking at.

Infinity. It actually depends upon the size of the object and its illumination.

our eyes can see any illuminating objects even if it is at infinite distance but the source must be brighter than other ones so that our eyes can perceive it from any distance
