I am allergic to every kind of eyeshadow I have tried. I really like bronze, pinks, vanilla white, browns maybe, anything but blue, green, and purple. I have tried Cliniques and Two Faced eyeshadows but they make my eyelids really dry and sometimes bumpy. I'm pretty sure this is an allergic reaction to something in the eyeshadow, maybe even the dies they put in it.

Does anybody have this problem? What kind of eyeshadows will not give me an allergic reaction?

There is this brand called Physician's Formula that they sell at Walgreens and WAlmart, probably any other place like that. Anyway, my friend has really sensitive skin, and she says it doesn't irritate her skin at all. It's a little expensive, but it will save you money from trying a lot of other things that end up not working anyway.

Purples quite cause them to stand out appropriate! So do golds. I many times use the eyeshadow from Sonia Kashuk's "Breathtaking Brunette" palette...you will get it at objective. that's like a golden, coppery brown...brings out the gold in my eyes and makes them seem gorrrggg.

I'm so sorry! That must really suck, I've never heard of that problem.
Try to find some organic makeup. Like from BareMinerals or something. Or try something a little less harsh like Almay.
Best of luck to you, I'm sorry, hun.

You could also try putting a little bit of Benadryl cream on your eyelids before applying your makeup - but if it itches or continues to bump or burn, take it off immediately.

Almay or Physician's Formula are both hypoallergenic. That 's perhaps the problem, or you need a creamier shadow.

My eyes are very sensitive too. I cannot even wear gel like shadows. Having said that, I have tried MAC and Loreal and they are both very decent and do not cause any allergies.

I second Physicians Formula!! It's hypoallergenic and they have new minerals shadow that doesn't have talc in it. It's great stuff.

Almay also has hypoallergenic stuff if you find you don't like Physicians.
