The importance of doing assignments is to learn something by doing them. (that is the whole point) Some things you may never use again, but at least you did them once and learned something.

Assignments help reinforce what you learn. They also help the teacher know where everyone is and if the students undersand tand what they are learning. They also show how responsible the students are take a big report for example teacher can see how responsible their students are to see if they wait until the last day to do their assignment

For one thing, it shows your teacher that you respect that classroom. When you do not complete the assignment, you may as well just tell the teacher, " You and your classroom suck".

Two... the assignment is probably a stepping stone to something bigger. If you don't complete this assignment, you may not understand the one that will follow. It's called " stair casing".

Three, your teacher may be trying to evaluate you and see if you truly are showing progress. This is what all good teachers do.

By workin on an assignments, you will learn by researching and writing about it. Most importantly, you get the credit.
