It's an extra point for the answerer after all... I try to remember, but I'm sure I miss it every now and again.

When I'm reading my answers, sometimes I give a thumbs up then. Sometimes I wait until choosing. When I pick a Best Answer, I always think, "did they put a lot of effort into this question?", and if I think they just tossed it out without any work at all, I don't give them the extra point.

But, there's no time limit for you to go back over all your old questions and thumb up your answerers, right?

Sometimes the answers are so average I don't thumbs-up any. On the other hand, sometimes, the answers are *all* so good I have to thumbs-up *all* of them. (Believe it or not, this has happened, a few times, there's some great answerers around here!) These are the two extremes.

I only forgot one time, and the person who was voted to win, although a great answer, was not the person that I was going to choose. So I try to be better about it and always pick the person that I think is the best answer.
