Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but biologically speaking human beings are attracted to anything that has or closely resembles the golden ratio. All handsome men, and beautiful women regardless of ethnicity usually have these ratios. The golden ratio is also seen in all flowers, patterns on butterfly wings, in the Parthenon, etc.

This website explains it all.
