Babe Ruth hasn't had the record since '61. McGwire doesn't even have it now. The records will stand as is. You'd be wasting your time and a stamp.

First, it's McGwire. That would probably help. Second, he doesn't have the home run record. Barry Bonds (73) does. And if you don't like either one of those guys, both Sammy Sosa (66) and Roger Maris (61) hit more home runs than Babe Ruth (60) did in a single season. Maris is not under any suspicion of cheating. Sammy Sosa had one corked bat incident, but that's the biggest problem he had. He's never failed a drug test, he's never admitted to taking supplements or steroids, and he's never seriously been suspected. But you can't start taking away records after the fact based on suspicion-- especially when the things people are suspected of doing were not against the rules at the time.

The single season home run record was Roger Maris' before Mark McGwire did it in 1998 with 70. It has since been broken by Barry Bonds with 73 in 2000. A lot of people think Bonds is a bigger cheater than McGwire ever was.

You can try to write every baseball writer and powers that be in the game itself, but I don't know if it will do you any good. You probably will get Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame before that ever happens.

Show me the failed drug test

Until then put him in the hall of fame

Steroids or not you dont see people hit 70 homeruns in a season

Besides, people nowadays are throwing mid to high 90s

back then the fastest pitcher couldnt have been throwing better than 96, but i cant prove that

I dont know why people think hes a cheater. He obviously made the starting lineup without steroids, which is definitly 80 times better than all non pro people who think hes a cheater. Supposing he was on steroids. Take them away. He is still hitting more homeruns in one season than any critic can hit in their entire life

If he does not make it into the hall of fame i will be very disappointed.

Mark McGwire and the Babe don't have homerun records anymore. Those records were surpassed by Barry Bonds and Roger Maris respectively. As far as Sammy ''the cork man ''Sosa goes it was awful strange that he needed an interpeter when he was in front of a congressional committee investigating steroid use in baseball. HMMMMMMMMM...........

everyone who has wrote back is right. McGwire didn't break the Babes record. he broke Roger Maris' record. if you are possibly talking about Barry Bonds (cough steroids! cough) then he did in fact break the Babes all-time home run record. as far as im concerned, both of them are cheaters and i agree he doesn't deserve history. unfortunately the commish is just going to pull a hear no evil see no evil bs. he doesn't care one bit about the fans or baseball just putting an extra amount of money in his pocket!

even if you erase the SUSPECTED steroid users, Babe Ruth would not have any homerun records...those would defalt back to Roger Maris and Hank Aaron. Ruth isn't #1 on those list anymore.

He didn't break Babe Ruth's Record. He broke Roger maris's record. I would suggest maybe Bud Selig, the commissor of MLB.

Barry Bonds broke Babe Ruth's record. Bonds's record should be taken away.
