My car suddenly stops pumping oil. I cheked everything but all seems o.k. There is enought oil. screen on the oil pan is clean, change new oil pump, cleaned one mechanical device fould stocked, is has a pistonlike device with a spring and oil seems to run through it. I do not know what it is called. Oil do not even reach oil filter. Help Help. Now I am trying to figure out what should I do next. I am trying see other repair man but I have to have understanding of how this things work. Help Help

Oil is picked up by the pump through a sump filter and through the oil filter. From there, through oil galleries in the block and head to the crankshaft and camshaft. Oil is flung in a fog state to the underside of the pistons and through the connecting rod to the piston pin. Oil is also dripped onto the valves. Your oil pump, seals and pressure regulator (the spring thing) would be the first place to check.
