Phoenix will be a huge contendor for this years title. They have been doing excellent in the regular season but the playoffs are a different story. Right now Phoenix scores the most every single game. The problem with that is they allows other teams to score 100+ as well. Phoenix plays a fast paced game which allows the offense to move fast and the oppenents team defense have to keep up with them. The problem is they dont play as well as defense as offense. One thing the suns will have to look to win this years title is changing the tempo of the game. Miami this year has been hurt by Shaq's knee he is uncertain to play or not. Dwayne Wade has been in and out. He can't carry the load by himself. For Miami to even make it to the playoffs this year someone has to step up on their team. Dallas is just playing the game better than anyone right now. They really dont need to change anything right now. But when playoff time comes Dallas and Phoneix will be the teams to beat.

Phoenix is looking very tough to beat these days with their high-powered offense and underrated defense(Top 5 in FG Defense). The Mavs have a great veteran core coming off a Finals appearence and look hungry to get back there this year. The Heat look awful. I'd be surprised if they even make the playoffs this year. They're old, have a bunch of past their prime role players starting, and their coach is nowhere in sight. They signed Eddie Jones today who couldn't even make his mark on the team with the worst record in the NBA(Memphis). Watch for either the Pistons or Wizards out of the East and the Spurs or Mavs out of the West.

I've told people over an over again.Every year the suns come out and win 50+ games. They go to the playoffs and splash. Last year they surprised me by going to the conference finals last year(even though they beat a mediocre Lakers team, which has really improved this year). The same used to be said about Dallas but they went to the finals last year and they are even better this year. They have beaten every team that is to be beaten, the spurs(twice),the suns(twice),the Lakers, The Jazz,The Rockets,The Wizards,Pistons,Magics,Cleveland and those lowly Miami Heat

i think yes the reason being is that the the league is changing and its really not about defense its about out scoring the other team and phoenix is one of the best teams that can do that they have some type of defense sometimes with marion and amare but i think it is possible though and if they get past dallas anything possible and with the east being like it is i think its there time to shine

No. The NBA season is a 82 game marathon and the Suns are not pacing themselves very well at all.
Their current sytle of ball will comeback to haunt them by the time the playoffs come around.
They will take a bow in the second round at this rate.

Playoff history for the Suns is not on their side. They have a great regular season record and choke in the playoffs. I don't see them getting past the Spurs or Mavs in the playoffs.
