I have lived in both France and Italy and enjoyed both - Italy has improved vastly in race bias since WWII when the Northern part of the country tended to be racist...In recent years France has had issues with African immigrants, though is very accepting of US Blacks...go figure...
Spain is a good pick, as is Switzerland - stay in the larger cities.
MANY stateside Blacks move to England too [I have friends who have done so and they love it]
My best friend's daughter went to Paris for a 3 week vacation four years ago and now has settled permanently there - lives on the East Bank and simply adores it. She has made many friends both Caucasian French and Black French plus other Americans.

Well I think the most diverse countries are France, Germany Netherlands, England..If you are looking at entrepreneurship Ireland and Spain have good economies, I live in Poland and there a lot of growth here too though there may be a lot fewer black people. In Scandinavia eveyone feels welcome (I lived in Denmark too) . it might depend if you are discussing a naturalized black population versus and immigrant african population.. Spain and Italy have a lot of the latter, but I have no reason to think they are not tolerant.
Its not so easy to move over here (in the E.U or elsewhere) and start a business however. Non nationals have a 90 day stay requirement without a visa. I'm teaching English..

My experience is that Italy is the place without question. But I am a woman. It may be different for a man. In fact, the only black men I saw were from African countries. I am assuming you are from the U.S. Historically France is kind to intellectual blacks from the U.S. Switzerland is not a good idea. Ireland sounds like a good choice based on friends of mine that have been there, although the food is bland. Good Luck!!!

There is a very high population of african americans in France so I imagine that they would be treated the same. I would recommend England because I've been there and to me it's almost like the northern US and everyones equal there. Also if you speak american then there won't be such a culture and language shock.

Your not going to have many problems in Europe but I would avoid Italy if your concerned about negative attitudes. Without a doubt Italians are the more racist of the Europeans...Not that you would have any hostilities directed toward you but bad jokes and off color comments where common

go south brother, Bosnia and Herzegovina is deffinetelly the #1 place to check, Bosnia has no racism, and it's a multiethnic country, There isn't so many black people there so i'm guessing that is the reason why all are treated better than whites, so far there's blacks in the bosnian movies, music videos, and mostly how they ended up there is as one guy says that was in a music video: "i was walking down the main street in sarajevo (capital) a big black Benz limo pulled next to me and to my surprise it was Edo Majka (popular hip-hop artist) and he asked me to be in the video i said yes. and let me tell you the money is great, euro, euro, euro baby..." so just do some research on Bosnia and you'll find out more

I would have to say italy, alot of black people live there because of slavery (long story) and alot of white people there are considerate of that and they have learned to get along better. Try it you might like it.
Best of wishes, kesha
