when one gets a rook piercing....what are the choices for the jewelry? ALSO is the pain bad?

Please, i only want answers from those who know what i am talking about. The rook is located just above the tragus, and is a rather thick section of cartilage to pierce through

Usually they pierce you with a small captive ball ring at about a 14 gauge. I've seen some people go up to a 12, but it depends completely on the ear and if there is enough room. Good luck keeping it from getting infected! It is one of the hardest to keep up. :)
