When they fight it isn't bloody. But never put two males together or even a male or female together...cause two Betta will fight no matter what gender they are. the only way a male and female get along is during their breeding season and that lasts about two days and you have to be very precise or they will fight

no... betta fights are not bloody, but they will get torn up really bad(especially the fins).... don't expect them to live with out too much good care after a fight. well... tell your roommate to not put bettas in a fight... that will just be cruel.

You won't see blood. You will see them flare up and attack each other though. You'll probably see them shred each others fins or chunck of tissue hanging.

Don't put male beta fish together. It is inevitable that they will hunt each other down. They are very territorial. I wouldn't even put a large female with a male unless they've grown accustomed to sharing a tank before.

Not unless it has to be. In the wild where there are thousands of gallons, one just chases the other away, in captivity where there is nowhere to run they will likely kill each other simply because they are trapped together. Don't put males together unless you have a really big tank with lots of hiding spaces.

i dont know if it is bloody or not but DO NOT put them in the same tank without a divider they will rip eachothers fins fins off until one or the other cant swim and drowns.
they are air breathers they dont absorb oxygen through the water.

Keep them apart and you need not worry about it, but to answer the question no, it's not a bloody fight. They rip each others fins, knock off scales and sometimes hurt each others eyes and just basically die of exhaustion.

Why ask the same ? twice ......

I have a sickning feeling that you want to see your Betta's to fight and want an approval from the "board".

There's a name for someone like you ... but I won't type it.

They do fight, and will to the death if they have to. I do believe that fish don't have blood.

Note: they have very long, sharp teeth for a fish and will hurt if the bite you.
