I'm afraid politics is the only profession where incompetence is always blamed on a lack of funding or lack of power. MP's rarely stand-up and take the blame.

The answer to every failure under Blair is given as one of the following:

1. Lack of funding, so the solution is to tax us more
2. Lack of authority and power, so the solution is to restrict civil rights and grab more power for the government.

I can't stand Blair. How can someone so universally hated refuse to resign?

Not never really - Mandelson, Blunkett, Clarke all eventually went - they are pretty shameless most of this bunch.

Thankfully Blair will be next - there isn't much point forcing John Reid out - there isn't enough talent in the party to find anyone better.

The problem is with the whole awful edifice - the three thousand plus prohibitions (Laws) have just overwhelmed the Home office and that is Blair and Brown's fault.

Overregulation and overlegislation have produced an untenable and unstable Tower of Babel.

Tony Blair is just following his totalitarian instincts - he does not need to sack anyone or expect them to resign. He is a dictator.
As for Citizen's comments - up to a point Lord Copper but don't forget that, however inept the Major Government was, at least they were democratic.

No - I still remember Major's government, when ministers were forced to resign, rather than choose to resign out of some sense of honour. I doubt that there was never a time when that was the case, anyway.

If 'Citizen' makes a little effort he'll find Tory ministers did resign. This Labour ideology of blaming the Tories is really wearing thin after almost ten years of this lying, shameless tax mad mob.

Tony Blair got into power on the back of the promise "no more sleaze". What a hypocrite. This lot think they can do no wrong and just don't care what you or I think.

Yep and he hasn't got he balls or spine to fire them either. Look at the weasel; Mendelson, he was fired twice by phoney Tony and yet still lived in his ministerial property and had 24/7 police protection!!!

Its because they are arrogant that MPs won't resign they think they can do what they want and the electors can go to hell.
