A program, usually external although ones which run within the main program are made, which "attachs" to a game, and shoots at the specified target with a pre-programmed accurarcy. Usually works via "coloured skins", where the files in the program are changed so that the person who you would normally shoot is a base colour (all 1 colour).

It is a program written to work within AIM which poses as a user (a bot). It can send messages which are generally randomly generated.

One version is simply a prank to record the responses of subjects.

An AIM Bot is an application that talks with AIM users via an instant message — artificial intelligence for your IMs. It can deliver useful info tailored to your specific request, or even engage you in fun conversation.

They can even help w/ homework, finding movies, games, and shopping! Sometimes they are used to fool your friends as well, as they automatically respond w/ an answer to any question! =D
